This is a problem on loads of islands, either the pub needs to let people away up to the dance and lose out on a few quid or get a licence for the hall. Its the sort of thing that splits communities cos ceilidhs should be a places for everyone and the very young and very old often cant go to the pub.

hi there, im curious I take it you are a ceilidh band? What time do you usually finish? the reason im asking is because im cycling the western Isles starting on the 13th August starting off at Barra. However if there is gig round about the same time I arrive in the area I may pop in and enjoy the evening with everyone else.
So do you have any gigs around that date?

Please tell me the ingredients to "babycham"-I need something to challenge my excellent ceilidh skills. Enjoy your lovely country.
