Kate and Eleanor are best friends who met through a friend when they were both heavily pregnant over 30 years ago. As well as babies and gardening, they both share a love for gin, which they felt was vitally important when bringing up their children!

When Eleanor moved to Winchester her house came with a small town garden, so Kate kindly gave some of her land to Eleanor for her to grow her own produce on. They started off growing competitively, but they soon started growing in harmony. They now share the land and believe it is a team effort to keep it in shape, and聽with Kate as聽the shorter of the two, she's often the one tasked with crawling on her knees under netting!

Their pet llamas聽Latima and Yama are a big part of their lives; the friends聽enjoy hand feeding them in their field and find that llama manure is perfect to use as fertiliser in the garden. They also dry the llama poo and burn it in a smoker when tending to their bees.

Kate and Eleanor聽are both very hands on grandmothers and Kate in particular encourages her grandchildren to get involved with her garden, encouraging them to聽pick their own dinner in the veg patch!
