Finalist

I was born in Los Angeles and studied at The Julliard School and UCLA.

Prizes I have won include the Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition, the 2015 Francisco Viñas international competition/ Extraordinary Prize for the Accademia Musicale Chigiana de Siena and recently I took third place in the Gulf Coast Regional Final of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. I have taken part in young artist programmes at Chautauqua Music Festival, the Britten-Pears Programme and Aspen Opera Theater Center.

Recently I made my Carnegie Hall debut in Kurt Weill's The Road of Promise. Other highlights include Nella Gianni Schicch in Aspen, Helena A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Banff and my debut as Lauretta Gianni Schicchi at Teatro Romano di Fiesole.

In concert, I performed Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras â„– 5 through Europe; Lieder and chansons with Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves; Ravel’s Shéhérazade in Los Angeles; and I have appeared with the Southeast Symphony singing Handel’s Messiah, Poulenc’s Gloria and Rutter’s Requiem.

I have given solo recitals throughout the USA, South Africa, Italy, France and England and appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in multi-disciplinary theatre performances with Company XIV.

My interests include designing and making clothes, art, gardening and belly dancing. I believe strongly in music education for social change.
