Mbulelo Ndabeni

Mbulelo Ndabeni is a South African born London-based choreographer, dancer, teacher, movement director and founder and director of N’da Dance Company. He trained in ballet, Southern African dance and contemporary dance at Dance For All, South Africa, San Francisco Academy of Ballet, Kaatsbaan and London Studio Centre. He has performed with top UK and international companies such as Cape Town City Ballet, New Adventures, Rambert, Company Wayne McGregor, Alesandra Seutin Vocab Dance, Ballet Black and Tavaziva.
Mbulelo has created works for his own company and for many others, including Cape Town City Ballet, ADAD’s Bloom Festival, English National Ballet School, Rambert’s new choreographic seasons, Cloud Dance Festival, The Print Room and Horniman Museum. His work has been presented at many prestigious venues such as Rich Mix, Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis, Queen Elizabeth Hall and ROH Linbury Studio Theatre. Mbulelo was a movement director at Royal Shakespeare Company’s Hamet (2016-2018), and collaborated with Fukiko Takase and Goshka Macuga in End of Line, commissioned by DRAF and Lowry Theatre.
Ndabeni is also a teacher specialising in ballet, Southern African dance and contemporary dance. He has lectured and led masterclasses and workshops at London Contemporary Dance School, London Studio Centre, Artistry Youth Dance, Middlesex University, Rambert, Bucks New University, Re-Bourne, Summer Dance Camp ‘Vranje’, Architanz, Akomaasa Performing Arts Academy and many more.
