Wildlife vet, Renata Leite Pitman, explains the joys of working with the Waorani on anaconda research.
The large predatory snakes accumulate heavy metals stirred up by oil exploration and are a potential way to measure the presence of dangerous pollutants. The Waorani rely on clean water for there survival as they eat fish and other animals caught in the river.
