Eating peccary testicles
When it comes to food I’ve always prided myself on being able to stomach the unstomachable, enjoy the unenjoyable and eat the inedible but I think that as I’m getting older I must be becoming squeamish.
The testicles of a Peccary, a type of wild pig is right up there at the top of my ‘I hope I don’t ever have to eat that again’ list. Meteor hot and acridly charcoaled on the outside, cold and terrifyingly textured at the centre. Really, there’s not much else to say. It was a pig’s testicle!
