Creepy crawly cave
An open top bus trip is a great way to see Cheddar Gorge - a real tourist hotspot. You'll get a geology or history lesson from the guides and it is the best place to see the rock formations. Mike Dilger heads for Cheddar Caves. Part of the caves are a mystery tour with ghouls and demons, but the visitors might be passing by what would scare them the most. If you're not into spiders, the cave spider is probably not for you. It is one of the biggest spiders in Britain, but it can't do you any harm. This species of spider never sees the light of day, spending its whole life in total darkness. Mike finds an egg case containing hundreds of eggs. Eventually it will hatch and spiderlings will spread all over the walls. There are spiders everywhere.
