Paralympian Karen Darke has just been awarded a place in the Rio Paralympic Games. She kept an audio diary while she was training for the World Championship time trials. She shares her feelings of how she was in a negative frame of mind for a while - making excuses, talking herself out of it - and reveals what she had to do to regain a more positive mental attitude.

Gillian visits Harlaw Academy in Aberdeen where Olympic cyclist Fiona Duncan has been working with pupils for the Champions In Scotland initiative, helping them to understand the importance of setting goals, learning from failure and how success can be achieved through sustained effort ... not just in sport but in life.
