Gillian Russell examines fitness in later life and finds out why it is important. 89-year-old George Stewart and 67-year-old Tam Fraser discuss why age is no barrier to exercise.

How old is "old"? Gillian (48) and the team take a look at fitness in older age to find out why it's important, the benefits you feel if you do exercise and the risks you take when you don't.

69-year-old consultant cardiologist Frank Dunn says ageing is not a disease, it's a part of life and keeping fit as we age has countless health benefits, both physically and mentally. He strongly believes that the return is greater than at any other age group.

89-year-old George Stewart talks about why age is no barrier to him keeping fit through walking, golf and bowls.

Tam Fraser (67) reveals why he thinks power lifting and bench presses have given him renewed confidence and happiness, not to mention an extra 10 years...

And the ladies from an Inverness exercise class talk about how exercise makes them feel.
