The Prince of Wales sends special message to 91热爆 TWO's Restoration

As 91热爆 TWO's Restoration reaches its climax this Sunday at 9.00pm, HRH The Prince of Wales is to show his support for the need to rescue buildings at risk, some of which have been featured on the hit show.

As the nation votes for which building should be given a new lease of life with funds raised during the show's five week run, His Royal Highness will reveal that he has been watching Restoration.

As the announcement of the winning building draws closer, The Prince will also call upon viewers not to forget the other 29 featured throughout the series as well as the countless architectural treasures at risk across the country.

The final of Restoration this Sunday will be staged at the Tower of London and broadcast live on 91热爆 TWO where presenter Griff Rhys Jones will announce which building the nation has chosen.

Using the funds raised, including 拢3 million pledged by the Heritage Lottery Fund, restoration work will be carried out that will see the winning building's future secured.

Produced by Endemol UK for 91热爆 Scotland, Restoration has visited all corners of the UK offering viewers the chance to save from ruin one of 30 architectural treasures.

Ten one-hour programmes have been devoted to a geographical area and have called on viewers to vote for one of three historical buildings at risk in that region.

The ten buildings viewers must now choose between before voting lines close at 10.10pm on Sunday are:

The votes cast in previous shows have not been carried forward so each building has started with no votes in the run up to the Final.

This is to help ensure the competition is as fair as possible to each of the 10 finalists.

A minimum of 17.9p of every 30p call goes directly to The Restoration Fund (a registered charity).

Contributions can also be made to The Restoration Fund via the donation line - 0871 200 5050.

Restoration has featured all styles and periods - from crofts and castles to factories and country mansions - dating from medieval times to the 20th century.

Conservation architect Ptolemy Dean and historic buildings surveyor Marianne Suhr have explored every corner of these buildings, unearthing their hidden secrets and bringing back to life the romance of their past.

Restoration has also drawn on the memories and knowledge of local residents, owners and conservation groups who love and value these buildings and are fighting to preserve them for future generations.

Sunday's final will see many of these people gathered together at The Tower of London, eagerly awaiting the outcome of the national vote.

They will be joined by Kate Humble who will be offering them support and encouraging viewers to vote and donate.

A host of celebrities will be adding their support and, for one last time, calling on viewers to vote for their favourite building.

The final will also see Griff, Marianne and Ptolemy revisit each of the ten buildings, reminding viewers of their individual charm and history, and their unique architectural value.

Liz Forgan from the Heritage Lottery Fund, along with representatives from all of Britain's heritage bodies, will also be joining Griff live at the Tower to discuss what the future holds for the thousands of historic buildings at risk across the UK.

Voting will continue throughout the evening and the announcement of the winning building is expected to take place at 10.17pm - live on 91热爆 TWO.
