The festival opens with a choir of 450 and two great portraits of the sea: Sakari Oramo conducts Vaughan Williams鈥檚 A Sea Symphony and Britten鈥檚 Four Sea Interludes as well as the world premiere of Julian Anderson鈥檚 Harmony. Pianist Stephen Hough plays Paganini variations by Rachmaninov and by featured composer Lutos艂awski.

Fran莽ois-Xavier Roth and Les Si猫cles trace the history of French dance music 鈥� on period instruments 鈥� from the Court of the Sun King at Versailles to the riotous 1913 Paris premiere of Stravinsky鈥檚 ballet The Rite of Spring.

Juanjo Mena and the 91热爆 Philharmonic present a programme of dance music spanning Beethoven鈥檚 Seventh Symphony, John McCabe鈥檚 Joybox, Ravel鈥檚 叠辞濒茅谤辞 and Falla鈥檚 Spanish ballet The Three-Cornered Hat.

Two works by Gustav Holst, and two from the Polish composer Witold Lutos艂awski. Edward Gardner directs the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra in Holst鈥檚 Egdon Heath and The Planets and Lutos艂awski鈥檚 Symphonic Variations. Louis Lortie is the soloist in Lutos艂awski鈥檚 Piano Concerto.

Cerys Matthews, Laura Marling and The Stranglers join London Sinfonietta for an eclectic Late Night Prom including 20th-century classics by Berio, Var猫se and Xenakis, plus a live remix mash-up by composer Anna Meredith.

The John Wilson Orchestra returns to the 91热爆 Proms with a programme of Golden Age film music from Edward Newman鈥檚 鈥楽treet Scene鈥� (from How to Marry a Millionnaire) to Erich Korngold鈥檚 swashbuckling suite from Robin Hood and Franz Waxman鈥檚 A Place in the Sun.

Keith Lockhart conducts the 91热爆 Concert Orchestra in Addinsell鈥檚 Warsaw Concerto and music by Walton (Battle of Britain), William Alwyn (The True Glory), Leighton Lucas (Ice Cold in Alex) and Richard Rodney Bennett (Lady Caroline Lamb), and a second half filled with the Hollywood superheroes and space travellers.

91热爆 Proms in the Park returns to the Titanic Slipway in Belfast on Saturday, September 7, 2013 as local audiences join the UK-wide celebrations of the world famous Last Night of the Proms.

The Last Night celebrations return to Glasgow Green. Join presenters Jamie MacDougall and Susan Calman in a night featuring an array of musical stars including singing sensation and former Spice Girl Melanie C, leading Scottish traditional violinist John McCusker, Scot soprano Kate Valentine and tenor Nicky Spence.

Marin Alsop becomes the first female conductor of the Last Night of the Proms. Joyce DiDonato and Nigel Kennedy join the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra in a concert that runs from Rossini and Handel arias to a mass singalong, and from Vaughan Williams鈥檚 The Lark Ascending and rarities by Britten and Bantock to a new opener by Anna Clyne.

The 91热爆 National Orchestra of Wales brings the Proms in the Park to Caerphilly for an evening of spectacular performances featuring West End singing stars John Owen Jones and Sophie Evans.
