This year鈥檚 festival kicks off with Tchaikovsky鈥檚 鈥楻omeo and Juliet鈥� Fantasy-Overture before Sol Gabetta performs Elgar鈥檚 Cello Concerto. Finally, hear one of the greatest cantatas of the 20th century 鈥� Prokofiev鈥檚 'Alexander Nevsky'.

The Choir of King鈥檚 College Cambridge joins forces with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for music including Faur茅鈥檚 Requiem and Haydn鈥檚 Mass in Time of War.

Katie Derham 鈥� who reached the final in the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing 鈥� presents a Prom dedicated to all things ballroom, tango and waltz. Gavin Sutherland conducts.

The world premiere of a new work by Magnus Lindberg is the curtain raiser for this LPO Prom, conducted by Vladimir Jurowski. Miah Persson and Christopher Purves are among the soloists in Beethoven鈥檚 Ninth Symphony.

Pianist Steven Osborne is the soloist in Britten鈥檚 Piano Concerto, sandwiched between Ginastera鈥檚 Ollantay and Schubert鈥檚 鈥楪reat鈥� Symphony. Juanjo Meno conducts the 91热爆 Philharmonic.

The first part of a two-part commission by Helen Grime (see also Prom 30) opens the 91热爆 Scottish Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 first Prom. It鈥檚 followed by Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Violin Concerto and Stravinsky鈥檚 Petrushka.

Edward Gardner conducts the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the women of the City of Birmingham Youth Chorus in Strauss鈥� Also sprach Zarathustra and Holst鈥檚 The Planets. The programme opens with a new work by Iris ter Schiphorst.

Ilan Volkov conducts Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 2 (soloist Pavel Kolesnikov) and Stravinsky鈥檚 The Firebird. Opening the programme is part 2 of Helen Grime鈥檚 new work (see also Prom 27).

The 91热爆 Scottish Symphony Orchestra presents an all-Russian programme, including Stravinsky鈥檚 The Rite of Spring. The evening begins with Prokofiev鈥檚 Scythian Suite before Kirill Gerstein is the soloist in Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 1.

Trumpeter H氓kan Hardenberger, banjo player Mats Bergstr枚m and accordionist Claudia Buder perform HK Gruber鈥檚 Busking, in a Prom which also includes Dutilleux鈥檚 Timbres, espace, mouvement and Beethoven鈥檚 Fifth Symphony.

John Wilson returns to the Proms with a programme celebrating one of the greatest song-writing duos of all time: George and Ira Gershwin. On the songlist for tonight 鈥� 鈥楩unny Face鈥�, 鈥楨mbraceable You鈥�, 鈥業 Got Rhythm鈥� and many more.

The Proms continues its Mahler strand with a performance of the iconic Fifth Symphony by the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra. Also on the programme is Haydn鈥檚 Symphony No. 34 and the world premiere of Charlotte Bray鈥檚 Falling in the Fire.

Legendary pianist Martha Argerich 鈥� who celebrates her 75th birthday this year 鈥� joins the West鈥揈astern Divan Orchestra to perform Liszt鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 1, before an all-Wagner second half.

The 91热爆 Concert Orchestra performs some of the best music written for Shakespeare adaptations on the stage and screen 鈥� from Joby Talbot鈥檚 ballet The Winter鈥檚 Tale to Bernstein鈥檚 West Side Story and Cole Porter鈥檚 Kiss Me, Kate.

A new work by Piers Hellawell opens the Ulster Orchestra鈥檚 Prom, before a performance of Haydn鈥檚 Cello Concerto No. 1, with soloist Narek Hakhnazaryan, and Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Fifth Symphony.

Continuing the Shakespeare theme this season, Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Hamlet Overture is the curtain-opener for a concert that also includes Rachmaninov鈥檚 Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (with soloist Stephen Hough) and Prokofiev鈥檚 Third Symphony.

Gabriela Montero is the soloist in Grieg鈥檚 Piano Concerto, the programme also includes music by Villa-Lobos, Marlos Nobre and Rachmaninov鈥檚 Symphonic Dances.

Iv谩n Fischer conducts an all-Mozart programme, including the Clarinet Concerto and the Requiem. Soprano Lucy Crowe and tenor Jeremy Ovenden are among the soloists.

Hans Abrahamsen鈥檚 let me tell you is paired with Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Symphony No. 4 for the CBSO鈥檚 first of two Proms, this one conducted by the orchestra鈥檚 new music director.

Sir Andr谩s Schiff is the soloist in Beethoven鈥檚 鈥楨mperor鈥� Concerto, which sits in between the composer鈥檚 Leonore Overture No. 2 and Beethoven鈥檚 Symphony No. 7. Herbert Blomstedt conducts.

Les Arts Florissants brings J. S. Bach鈥檚 magnificent Mass in B minor to the Proms. William Christie conducts a cast of soloists including soprano Katherine Watson, counter-tenor Tim Mead, tenor Reinoud van Mechelen and baritone Andr茅 Morsch.

For their second Prom of the year, Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic pair Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 Slavonic Dances with Brahms鈥檚 Symphony No. 2, and open the concert with the world premiere of a work by Julian Anderson.

The Sim贸n Bol铆var Orchestra have become Proms favourites and this year the ensemble brings a programme of music by Paul Desenne and Villa-Lobos 鈥� finishing the evening with Ravel鈥檚 La valse.

Daniel Barenboim kicks off a series of concerts pairing Mozart and Bruckner. Barenboim is the soloist in Mozart鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 24, before conducting Bruckner鈥檚 Fourth Symphony.

Beethoven鈥檚 Violin Concerto 鈥� performed by Nikolaj Znaider 鈥� opens the second of the Dresden orchestra鈥檚 Proms. In the second half, Reger鈥檚 Variations on a Theme by Mozart is paired with Strauss鈥檚 tone poem Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche.

In this Late Night Prom, Richard Egarr conducts the Academy of Ancient Music in Handel鈥檚 glorious Coronation Anthems 鈥� the most famous of which is 鈥榋adok the Priest鈥�.

Marin Alsop returns to the Proms stage to conduct Verdi鈥檚 magnificent Requiem, with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Proms Youth Choir. The evening鈥檚 soloists include soprano Tamara Wilson.
