Renaud and Gautier Capuçon play Brahms’s meltingly beautiful Double Concerto and Myung-Whun Chung leads the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France for Weber’s Oberon overture and Stravinsky’s famous The Rite of Spring.

The 91Èȱ¬ Philharmonic’s new Chief Conductor Designate Juanjo Mena brings us images of musical Spain – dancing days, moonlit caresses and sultry nights.

DJ Switch joins the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain to perform Gabriel Prokofiev’s Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra, while 91Èȱ¬ Radio 3 New Generation Artist Benjamin Grosvenor takes on Britten's Piano Concerto. After the interval, Prokofiev's ballet music recounts the doomed love of Verona's most romantic couple.

The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra return to the Proms to play two contrasting symphonies by Sibelius and Nielsen, while critically acclaimed young pianist, Alice Sara Ott, makes her Proms debut in one of the most popular of all piano concertos - Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor.

Tim is joined by Sue Perkins, Susan Bullock (soprano), Danny Driver (piano), Kit and the Widow, Beardyman, The Boy with Tape on his Face, Doc Brown, the Mongrels, the 91Èȱ¬ Concert Orchestra, Andrew Litton (guest conductor) and Jules Buckley (music director).

The Israel Philharmonic takes to the stage with its longest-serving maestro and a favourite soloist. Part of this disrupted Prom will be broadcast on Radio 3 on Wednesday 7 September at 2.30pm.
