Fear (negative)
- The pupil really struggled to control their fears during their first performance when taking a penalty kick in rugby.
- This led to the muscles in their legs tensing up and their movements being rigid as they took the kick.

Resilience (positive)
- The pupil did show resilience later on in their first performance as when their team were awarded another penalty kick, they stood up to take it.
- This led to them forgetting their previous miss and moving on to overcome this error.
- This resulted in their kick being accurate and their team taking the lead.
Anger (positive)
- In their second performance, the pupil managed to control their anger when the referee made a harsh decision against them.
- This led to them accepting the decision without complaint and walking away.
- This resulted in them calmly switching their attention back to getting into position and performing their defensive role and responsibilities.
Confidence (positive)
- In their second performance, the pupil had a lot of confidence in their ability when one versus one with a defender in football.
- This led to them believing in themselves and trying a complex skill to get past the other player.
- This resulted in them beating the defender and getting into space to shoot.
