Higher PE - Emotional scenario
Let's look at a scenario for emotional factors. In this example, information is provided in the form of a script.
Scenario
Below is feedback a Higher PE pupil received after both of their one-off performances.
During the first performance, you appeared to be very fearful and made numerous different mistakes. You did manage to bounce back later in the first performance and showed good character. In the second performance, you remained composed and controlled your anger well during certain situations. You appeared to have a lot of belief in your ability in the second performance and you were very effective as a result.
Q) Explain why the pupil received this feedback during their one-off performances. Your answer must refer to emotional factors. (4).
Applying the technique
- Read the question(s) first:
- your answers must refer to the emotional factor.
- you must relate your answers to performance within an activity or activities.
- you must show cause and effect as you explain why this feedback was provided.
- Now look at the script provided. The following buzz words provide clues on different emotional factors:
