You can鈥檛 see it from the train, you can鈥檛 see it from the road, but you can see the first building to locate there.
Help playing audio/video It鈥檚 the new home of Darlington College of Technology, but it goes back a lot further.  Darlington College of Technology The land they鈥檙e starting to turn into the park stretches all the way from the College to the railway station and this is one of the fastest moving developments in the region. By the end of this year, there will be a new footbridge over the railway lines next to the college at Haughton Road, linking the site with the town centre.  How the finished development might look When it is finished, they hope to have a hotel, leisure centre, some shops and offices at the mouth of the park, just across the road from the railway station, and a multi-storey car park, homes and playing fields spread out across the rest of the land. We鈥檙e also being promised plenty of space for wildlife in the centre of town, as well as plenty of public art. 250 million pounds of private investment has been secured to make all this happen, along with 60 million pounds of public money. Developers on board are Keepmoat Plc, Commercial Estates Group (CEG) and Yuill 91热爆s.
