Kovacic limping back to the changing room is a worry for the weekend for Chelsea.

Great goal-saving block from Zeki Celik as he puts his body on the line to shot Marcos Alonso's fierce drive which is arrowing towards the bottom corner.

Celik is hurt after that, it looks like he has jarred his knee in making the block.

Lille are having a good go, they are not intimidated, are knocking it around and trying to open up spaces.

They've given Mateo Kovacic a chance to see if he can run off an injury issue, he can't.

The Croatian trots off and is replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and the Blues finally have an Englishman in the line-up.

Then Lille get forward and Jonathan Bamba manages to dig out a cross to the back post but Renato Sanches volleys wide.

Alvaro Morata tries to do a Dusan Vlahovic and score an early goal but his weak volley from the edge of the box is wide.

Looks like Thomas Tuchel has had a word with the Chelsea players at half-time.

Skipper Cesar Azpilicueta fires a dangerous low cross which Leo Jardim grasps at the near post.

Juventus bring on Leonardo Bonucci for Alex Sandro at the break. I suspect Danilo will go to left wing-back.

Dr Che: Renato Sanches is easily the best player on the pitch for both sides. His touches, weight on passes and driving runs have been a beauty to behold. Man is having a blinder despite being a goal down.

Hakim Ziyech has a chance immediately after the restart but sees his shot from the angle blocked.

Thiago Silva has done it at the top throughout his career and is just sweeping up things. He reads the game so well but when he needs to put his body on the line, he always does and there's no-one better. He's an all-round top-class player.

Chelsea have been in control in so many games without creating many clear-cut chances, but did so early on.

Thomas Tuchel will be thinking to control the game and not allow Lille to have time on the ball and to build their confidence. In knockout competitions, things can change very quickly.

Chelsea hit the ground running and Lille were a little shell-shocked. The quality instantly shone the minute the referee blew the whistle. Chelsea had plenty of chances to put this tie to bed in the first 15 minutes, especially Kai Havertz.

After that, I do feel Lille kind of had given Chelsea too much respect, then they started to believe in themselves and Chelsea had let them off the hook by only coming in with a 1-0 lead. Thomas Tuchel shows his emotions and lets his players know when he is not happy. He will have seen things in the first half that he's not happy with.

Chelsea come up with a goal from set pieces week in, week out and they haven't given up too many chances.

Dusan Vlahovic had the fewest touches in that half, 11, with one of them coming in the first 32 seconds...

Champions League

Uefa is almost certain to switch this season's Champions League final away from St Petersburg amid the Ukraine-Russia crisis.

Russia has sent troops into two rebel-held regions of eastern Ukraine and there are fears an invasion is planned.

Several countries, including the UK, have introduced sanctions against Russia in response to the move.

Uefa said it was "closely monitoring the situation" and "any decision would be made in due course if necessary".

Against the backdrop of unrest, Uefa is viewed as being highly unlikely to attempt to host the game in Russia.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, speaking in the House of Commons on Tuesday, said there was "no chance of holding football tournaments in a Russia that invades sovereign countries".

Chelsea started well but Lille grew into that as the half went on. One of the highlights has been another defensive masterclass by Chelsea's Thiago Silva. Gliding around making a mockery of his 37 years.

There was a goal after 32 seconds and then none for 44 minutes and 28 seconds.

So far, so good for Juve.

Chelsea do not look they are worried, they are kind of in cruise control.

We've seen 40 minutes of Lille and they've been no threat to Mendy whatsoever. Chelsea have gone into relaxed mode but they have to be wary of that.

Lille have been brilliant in the Champions League, got some great results, this is only the fifth goal they've conceded and they're not an easy team to play against and are still very much in this tie.
