    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

That's enough for today. We need to save our energy for Wednesday just like the Scotland players.

Keep an eye out for the Czech Republic v Israel score later on this evening. A draw in Plzen would actually confirm Scotland as group winners, but how likely is a comfortable solution like that?

Join us again on Wednesday and thanks for your company today. Enjoy what's left of your Sunday.

  3. 'Not a backwards step'published at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland manager Steve Clarke tells 91Èȱ¬ Sportsound: "I thought the performance was good, a little bit wasteful.

"We certainly deserved to get something out of the game. It’s not a backwards step.

"The chances came along, we couldn't quite finish them. Pleased with the team, without the result.

"We still have the opportunity on Wednesday night."

  5. Crying out for a clinical edge?published at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland had some good chances this afternoon, but were thwarted by some impressive goalkeeping and a lack of killer touch inside the penalty area.

That's three goals scored in the past five games, with just two conceded.

The floodgates opening in Israel would be a welcome surprise.

  7. Dykes gives Scotland different dimensionpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Of course, Lyndon Dykes will be back from suspension for that trip to Israel and the big striker is yet to lose a game in Scotland colours.

He was a real handful against Serbia on Thursday and has two goals in six internationals.

Callum McGregor and Ryan Jack will probably resume their central midfield partnership and Scott McTominay is another likely to come back into the side.

  8. Wednesday's mission for Scotlandpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland finish up away to familiar foes Israel.

Israel managed a 1-1 draw at Hampden in September, while it ended 0-0 in the Euro play-off semi final last month before David Marshall got going with part one of his penalty shootout heroics.

Scotland were last in Israel in October 2018 and lost 2-1.

Steve Clarke's side may well need maximum points to end up top of the table.

It could be a nail biter...

  9. Christie buoyed, despite resultpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland attacker Ryan Christie has just told Sky Sports: "We're still very happy with the performance. We're disappointed to lose.

"The unbeaten run finally comes to an end. The gaffer's just said, there's a away to end a run like that and that's with a performance like that.

"We had visions of coming here and topping our group but we're going to have to do that on Wednesday.

"We've played Israel plenty times and every time we've played it's been neck and neck so we expect the same going over there. Hopefully we can top that group."

  10. Scots still out in frontpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland are still on top of the group following that frustrating defeat - and they will stay there going into Wednesday's final fixtures.

Steve Clarke's side stay on 10 points, with the Czech Republic on six and Israel on five. Those two meet in Plzen this evening. Keep everything crossed for a draw there... That would allow Kieran Tierney to get back on the decks early.

I think that was Kieran Tierney's best game in a Scotland shirt and Leigh Griffiths added bite to the attack

  12. Rodak keeps Scotland outpublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    FT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Phew! I thought Leigh Griffiths had come up with the goods there. It was some save from Marek Rodak, who had earlier kept out a Kenny McLean header with a flying stop.

Those were the only real chances fashioned by Scotland in the second half after a strong first 45 minutes, but they were both excellent saves.

  13. Scots still making progresspublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

I don't think this is a poor performance at all. That level of progression is still continuing

  14. FULL-TIME Slovakia 1-0 Scotlandpublished at 90+3 mins

And that's it. Scotland's unbeaten run is over and Nations League Group B2 is still in the balance.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 90+3 mins

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Leigh Griffiths is in behind the Slovakia defence. Can he find an equaliser with the last touch of the game? The angled shot is true and it's on target for the far corner before Marek Rodak gets his fingertips on the ball.

That is a top drawer save from the Fulham keeper.

  16. YELLOW CARD - Christie (Scotland)published at 90+3 mins

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Frustration for Ryan Christie as he goes into the ref's book.

  17. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Kieran Tierney finds the energy for one last surge and curls a wonderful long-range cross into the path of Leigh Griffiths. The striker brings it down and tries to curl one in from 20 yards but the keeper makes a simple stop.

  20. Postpublished at 86 mins

Here come Slovakia on a counter-attack, with Scotland a bit exposed. Liam Cooper saves the day with an excellent sliding tackle inside the penalty area.
