    It was a comfortable win for Chelsea when these two sides met at Stamford Bridge on 4 November.

    The Blues won 3-0 with Timo Werner scoring two penalties and Tammy Abraham also on the scoresheet.

    Rennes' hopes were not helped by the sending off of Dalbert five minutes before half time.

    That game also saw Edouard Mendy keep a clean sheet against his former side and he will be hoping for the same again on his return to Roazhon Park.

    Chelsea make four changes from their 2-0 Premier League win over Newcastle at the weekend. Thiago Silva returns to the starting XI, replacing Antonio Rudiger in the centre of defence. Jorginho and Callum Hudson-Odoi come in for N'Golo Kante and Hatem Ziyech.

    At right-back, Reece James is replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta, who captains the side.

    Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy starts against his former club.

  5. Hoping to progress

    Rennes v Chelsea (17:55 GMT)

    Hello! We're back again for another night of Champions League action as we reach the latter stages of the groups.

    A win for Chelsea, coupled with Sevilla avoiding defeat at Krasnodar, will be enough to secure the Blues' progress from Group E with two games to spare. Even a draw will be enough if Sevilla win.

    Liverpool and Manchester City are the other two Premier League sides who can seal their place in the knockouts, but both are in action tomorrow.

    Manchester United, meanwhile, will have to wait a little longer to confirm their progress after losing to Istanbul Basaksehir in the last round of games.

    They can soon get revenge, however, as they host the Turkish side at Old Trafford at 20:00 GMT tonight.

    With games coming thick and fast both at home and in Europe, Premier League teams will be keen to wrap up progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League as quickly as possible.

    Three Premier League sides can do just that this week, starting with Frank Lampard's Chelsea, who take on Rennes in France in just over an hour.
