Brilliance again from Kieran Dowell, driving forward with pace and swerve, teases the foul from Michael Dawson but continues his run and slides a pass to Jason Cummings who wastefully whacks it wide.

Dowell tries to thread the eye of a needle moments later but Hull read it well.

Hull City manage to win a throw midway inside the Forest half thanks to one long pumped ball.

Jordan Smith thuds it into the old Row Z.

Hull for all their possession at times, really cannot find the gaps. Forest standing firm.

Jason Cummings does brilliantly there to nod that ball up and over his own crossbar as Hull thought the ball was destined for the back of the net.

Hasn't done much up top, or at least hasn't been allowed to, but earned his proverbial corn there.

SOMEHOW HULL DON'T SCORE!

Jason Cummings diverts the ball onto the top of the bar and over as Fraizer Campbell's header is goalbound.

Barrie McKay, rather than hammering the ball upfield, faffs about with it in the Forest right full-back position and is forced into touch but Hull waste the field position.

Forest win it back, then get a free-kick, which prompts the mild-manner Swedish midfielder Seb Larsson into a frustrated rant at referee Jeremy Simpson.

Remarkably... I say with a dose of sarcasm, that free-kick came to absolutely zip.

There haven't actually been a lot of chances in this game, and the two best have either gone in or hit the bar.

It's exciting enough but not massive on final third brilliance so far (Kieran Dowell exempt, naturally).

It's the Forest fans who are audible at the moment, as their side continue to give Hull City problems.

They've got a free-kick 35 yards out...

Hull tried to find Ola Aina out on the right side but he could only limp towards it before seeing it bounce out.

Forest pouring forward now.

Milan Djuric's header proved decisive as Bristol City triumphed at lowly Sunderland to move up to fourth in the Championship and wrap up a fantastic week.

Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson: "Brilliant from the lads - they were horrible conditions, swirling wind, very difficult to play in, let me tell you.

"I thought we won the game just from our second half display, and we won the inches.

"In a strange way I was quite pleased that they scored the goal just before half time, because I think it was the slap around the face that we needed to get ourselves going."

Seb Larsson's free-kick disappointingly scudded into the wall, but Campbell was sharp to it, fizzing a snap-shot at the Forest goal, and Smith did well to beat it away.

Meanwhile sub Jon Toral has gone down injured. Not an ideal switch. Holding his left-hamstring. Nouha Dicko is on. Hull out of changes.

Barrie McKay's shot is blocked on the edge of the Hull box after clever build-up.

Then at the other end, Fraizer Campbell is clattered by Michael Mancienne to give away a dangerous free-kick to the Tigers.

More evidence of the outstanding talents of Jarrod Bowen as he just sauntered through (complete with nutmeg) the Forest defence but his nonchalant outside-of-the-foot cross was gathered easily by Jordan Smith.

Hull have a threat no mistake.

Smart interplay from Forest there, one-touch stuff. However the ball is turned over without an end product.

That's where Daryl Murphy has been a miss. He holds the ball up, but his successors in the squad tonight have failed to match that.

We shall see. Second half is under way.

The Championship's bottom side Bolton were denied a first away win of the season at Fulham by Tom Cairney's 94th minute equaliser.

Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson: "It's disappointing we haven't got all three points. I felt our performance warranted it. The lads gave absolutely everything.

"Obviously there's an air of disappointment in the dressing room but we've got to make sure that the late goal doesn't knock us because we're unbeaten in three games.

"We want to get that win and we were so close to it today but we move on. We look strong, organised and committed and we'll need all those qualities as we go forward into these next couple of games."

Millwall held high-flying Cardiff to a goalless draw in Wales, but the Lions' manager was incensed by the failure to award his side a spot-kick when Sean Morrison looked to have impeded Steve Morison when he was through on goal.

Millwall boss Neil Harris: "It's a definite penalty. When you've got 20,000 people in a stadium and the only person who doesn't think it is is the referee - someone's got to be wrong.

"He got it completely wrong. Sean Morrison's honest enough to say 'I pulled you back and clipped your heels'; you can't do anymore than that.

"It's a foul and changes the game, maybe gives us three points so I'm really disappointed.

"Clearly today the four of them (referee and officials) weren't up to it. Steven's a good guy and a good referee; I don't think it was one of his better games. He's honest as well, so if he's got it wrong he'll admit to it."

Wolves missed the chance to return to the top of the Championship table as they were beaten for only the third time this season by QPR, despite Leo Bonatini's strike.

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo: "I think first half was not so good in terms of possession of the ball - the game had too many fouls.

"In the second half we had the game for ourselves, so we should blame ourselves for not getting the three points."

Middlesbrough earned their first win in six Championship games thanks to Grant Leadbitter's penalty and a second half header from Britt Assombalonga.

Middlesbrough manager Garry Monk: "It was a good, solid away performance - it's what we needed at this moment.

"I thought we defended very well against a good passing side as well, we limited them to shots from outside the area which was pleasing.

"We were clinical when we needed to be and that was important, especially after the recent period."
