What's this? England have taken the batting powerplay a full two overs before they're obliged to do so - there will be a maximum of three fielders outside the circle for overs 34-38. Greenway steers Farrell for two twos and a single to move to 45, Brunt cuts two more, before a powerfully-struck two to cow corner means that's not only the fifty stand - it's Brunt's highest ODI score (27).

Australia need to regain a bit of control after that last Jonassen over, so the spinner's off and Rene Farrell returns for her eighth over. There's an appeal for lbw against Brunt, but umpire Saggers isn't interested... Farrell strays with a wide, while England keep chipping away with some ones and twos - and fortune favours Greenway as she reverse-sweeps and the ball lofts just over short third man for two. 12th man Rebecca Grundy comes on with a drink for the two batters between overs.

Katherine Brunt blasts a quick single to mid-on to bring up the hundred for England, while she and Sarah Coyte both end up in a heap as they collide while the bowler attempts to take the ball. Just two more singles from the over - the equation for England is 140 from 114 balls.

Brunt swipes a two to third man - then we have the first six of the series as she slog-sweeps Jonassen over mid-wicket for a maximum. Greenway then unleashes an Eoin Morgan-style reverse sweep for four. Seven and a half an over? Pah. England managed 14 off that one!
Greenway angles her bat to ramp Coyte for a single over short fine leg, Brunt can only rotate the strike, and Australia continue to be rewarded for disciplined seam bowling as Grreenway can't beat the inner ring. A single to third man leaves the required rate around seven and a half an over.

Finally the Brunt experiment starts to bear fruit as she smacks Jonassen for four wide of extra cover - it's England's first boundary since Greenway hit that trio of fours six overs ago. But a tidy, rapid over from Jonassen, considering it contained a boundary.
Captain Meg Lanning rotates her bowlers with Coyte replacing Perry. After a single from Greenway, Brunt tries to go big again but possibly connects too cleanly - it's a single straight to the cover sweeper.
Brunt comes down the track and heaves a full toss to deep mid-wicket for a single to get off the mark. Greenway adds a single, she has 25 from 45. England need 166 from 24 overs (or 144 balls if you prefer). But they've only added nine runs in five overs, for the loss of one wicket.
Greenway knocks Jonassen for a single - now, how long before Brunt goes big against the spinner? Well, first ball, she tries to cut a half-volley and nearly chops onto her stumps. This should be entertaining at the very least.

Quote MessageI would prefer to see Sciver promoted above Brunt - she can give it the long handle too, but I wonder if she might offer a bit more longevity. She's got a more rounded game.
