Missed my blog? Yes!!!

Last blogged 19/04/07. Here I go again as If nothing never happened. I had computer trouble, and only the other day did I get going again. Anyway, who could have wasted the beautiful weather experienced recently: the long walks in the evenings, and then straight into bed - wonderfull stuff !

Sad though to contemplate the floods in England and ensuing devistation. This is hard to understand as we enjoyed unrelenting sunshine. Where does Climate Change enter the equation. I'd like to know.

And to mar matters further, may I mention the horrible terroist attempts in North and South Britain. Really has the world gone crazy?. I'd say yes!

Living on a west coast island has its advatages. No wonder one is reluctant to leave it to go to the mainland.

Hope you don't mind my lapse. I'm not wothy of praise, I know, but will try to keep in touch.

dear island wanderer, i am so scared of what is happening to the world we live in. my home is under a metre of water, right now, my family's belongings all lost and ruined, we are devastated. but much more worrying is the terrorist attacks, my mum and dad want us all to go away on holiday when school finishes, but i am really scared of what is happening at airports. my nearest airport is Robin Hood in doncaster and there were armed police there yesterday. My friend came through the airport and was terrified. is it worth it? i would rather visit your lovely island. the world HAS gone crazy, MAD, SAD AND BAD, but no matter how much we suffer, or are intimidated, or threatened, we must never EVER give in to BULLIES.

Emma from South Yorkshire

Of course we've missed you! Nice to have you back after your short hiatus.

Anne from IBHQ

Dear Emma, I live near Glasgow and we have been lucky with the weather here. I feel for everyone in your area with those terrible floods. It is truly dreadful, and my heart goes out to you. Terrorism: what can we do except be vigilant? All the bombers seemed to come from a hospital near here. IW, nice to hear from you again!

Jill from EK

Hello I.W. what you are talking about is unfortunately Daily life here in the U.S. Floods. Forest fires,Earthquakes ,drought and Mudslides No the world has NOT gone mad ,Just a few of the inhabitants and I understand you live on one of the Greenest spots in this world the beautiful Tiree. Does Scotland NEED to import these troublemaker/killers?

Emma from South Yorkshire, I live on an island well away from the maddening crowd. I am also worried about the state of the world at present just in the same way as you are. Yes, we must never give in to the BULLIES. We must ask for the wisdom to face up to difficult times. Island wanderer.

Ann from IBHQ, Good to be back. Hope i can keep it up. Thanks for the welcome back.

Jill from EK Emma is well and truly in our thoughts but I'm sure she has plenty good old fashioned pluck. Do any of us know where the bombers are going to stop. 9/11 first then Iraq chances dont look good.

I'm not sure that things have really changed that much regarding terrorism - it's always been around. As far back as history goes there has always been a fanatical group of some sort fighting against another one. Only problem now is it's close to home and an awful lot more technical. Media coverage today also probably makes it seem a lot worse. Keep your chin up Emma - things can only get better! Anyway - who said you had to fly to go on holiday? Going to Harris myself by car/boat.

Dear Frodo, My knowledge of the US is rather limited, forgive me, I didn't think nature was quite as unkind. Trouble makers etc. The reason the powers that be give is depopulation and labour. Good old Tiree though.

Good to hear from you again, IW. Hope the computer does not act up again any time soon!! # Not all troublemakers/ terrorists are imported, though at times it seems as if it is so, Frodo. The Oklahoma City bombing, the Unibomber etc were all fellow citizens, and home grown.

Going to Harris? Will you be meeting up with mia's parental units?
