In the not too distant past, I took it upon myself to write blogs on renewable energy and the climate problem -climate change. both issues are relevent not just in global terms but to the integral make up of this country.
Recently renewable energy has become a part of our daily way of life resulting in an ardent dispute between those for and those against, and a certain amount of confusion being evident as well.
I myself have made it clear, from time to time, that I'm behind the use of wind energy to meet certain desirable and necessary ends. That is, of course despite the objections of those who often give the impression that argument purely for its own sake proves anything worthy.
In view of global warming and climate change wind power must be given due consideration. And this country's requirement for clean electricity, at the necessary cost, gives us the opportunity to prove that our hopes for the future remain viable.

Interesting range of responses. I don't know if my comment will be relevant, but
of all the ideas offered for renewable energy and systems that can reduce our dependence on carbon based fuels, I am most intrigued by the 'Brown's Gas'. I know there are a lot of questions about this technology, but I know that it is possible to split water into Hydrogen and oxygen, burn them together and produce water vapour, so there should be a way to make this process commercial. Is this a direction that is being pursued anywhere. I believe that we need to shift from carbon to hydrogen.
