RENEWABLE ENERGY

As the debate goes on,may I try this blog:
It has just come to my attention that there are an exceeding large number of Necular Powered Stations in the UK. I believe that in Scotland there are only two.
Many Power Stations are almost obselete. This country requires large amounts of electricity and, in the future, even more. Bigger and better Power plants could be the answer - and they would be able to meet the demand - I'm quite sure of that; but what will the long term cost be; I really dread to think what the outcome could well be. I am still to be convinced how advanced the scientists are as regards atomic power.
It is possible that they have caught the tiger by the tail, but does the tiger only slumber. Is there a great risk that we could reap a terrible cost now and the future.

Do you know the names of five nuclear power stations in the UK?

Sascha from SOT

Why is there so little mention and enthusiasm about alternative and renewable energies and their development in the UK?? Nuclear power stations in the UK are surely of a high standard, but as we all know it is not impossible for humans to make mistakes. And what about the question of nuclear waste and its disposal? It is such a disappointment that the UK is not at the forefront of developing renewable energies, with wind and tidal power being so obviously available.
