Jusung Park
Bass-baritone from Republic of Korea- 27 years old
I studied in Seoul at the Yonsei University College of Music with the renowned Korean soprano Hei-kyung Hong, Chang-gon Kim, and Kwang-dong Kim. I have won a number of competitions, including 1st prize at the Haneum Music Competition, Music Journal competition grand prize, first prize in Music Education Newspaper competition and Silver prize in the Korea National Opera Competition.
I have appeared as principal artist at the Chuncheon International Early Music Festival, where I sang bass solo in Bach’s Cantata 147, Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. I have also performed the bass solo in Bach’s St John Passion and I perform regularly as bass soloist in oratorios and masses at Luce Chapel Yonsei.
Recently I performed the title role in Le nozze di Figaro and Leporello (Don Giovanni) in productions at Theater Rudolstadt in Germany in collaboration with the Thüringer Symphony Orchestra. Very soon, I will take part in the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence’s voice programme.
Away from the stage, my interests include travelling, watching movies and film-making.

Astudiais yn Seoul yng Ngholeg Cerdd Prifysgol Yonsei gyda’r soprano Goreaidd o fri, Hei-kyung Hong, ynghyd â Chang-gon Kim a Kwang-dong Kim. Rydw i wedi ennill sawl cystadleuaeth, gan gynnwys y wobr gyntaf yng Nghystadleuaeth Gerddoriaeth Haneum, prif wobr cystadleuaeth Music Journal, gwobr gyntaf mewn cystadleuaeth gan Gylchgrawn Addysg Gorfforol a’r wobr Arian yng Nghystadleuaeth Opera Genedlaethol Corea.
Ymddangosais fel prif artist yng Ng诺yl Cerddoriaeth Gynnar Ryngwladol Chuncheon, lle canais unawd fas yng Nghantata 147 Bach, Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Rwyf hefyd wedi perfformio’r unawd fas yn Dioddefaint Sant Ioan Bach ac rwy’n unawdydd bas rheolaidd mewn oratorio ac offeren yng Nghapel Luce Yonsei.
Yn ddiweddar perfformiais y brif ran yn Le nozze di Figaro a Leporello (Don Giovanni) mewn cynyrchiadau yn Theater Rudolstadt yn yr Almaen mewn cydweithrediad â Cherddorfa Symffoni Thüringer. Cyn bo hir byddaf yn cymryd rhan yn rhaglen lais y Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
