Jack Beresford

Winner of five Olympic medals, Jack Beresford is a sculling legend.

Given the job of training the British Olympic team at the 1948 games Beresford is forced to face up to the fact that his gamble – placing Bert Bushnell and Dickie Burnell together just weeks before the Olympic final – may have been a foolish one. But Beresford is not an Olympic champion for nothing, and he pushes the boys to their limits, determined that they will succeed.
