Ahead of performing on the Glastonbury Pyramid stage for the first time, singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper joined Anita Rani as part of our special Glastonbury programme.

The self-proclaimed feminist, campaigner & activist told Anita how her iconic song, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, became the anthem it is today.

It was written by a man, Robert Hazard, but she had it rewritten from a woman’s perspective, to reflect her own experience, and is now used on placards at women's rights rallies - ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fundamental Rights’.
