We follow the poet Imtiaz Dharker from the inspiration of the bustling London streets, the still of her night time studio, to performing her poems in front of thousands
From the clatter of trains and the rumble of meat lorries to the light over the River Thames, the Pakistani born British poet Imtiaz Dharker finds inspiration from the world around her. In 2014 she was awarded the Queen鈥檚 Gold Medal for Poetry in recognition of her contribution to poetry and this week, Imtiaz takes us on an intimate journey from the midnight quiet of her studio, carefully crafting her poems, to performing live to an audience of thousands of schoolchildren.
