The charity Time to Change also found that one in five of the people surveyed lost their job for the same reasons.
Victoria Derbyshire spoke to Clive Buckenham, who said depression left him feeling isolated from his family and friends, Jenny Carter, who said she faced discrimination at work and now only feels like she can be open with other people with mental health problems, Oli Regan, who has bipolar, and director of Time to Change Sue Baker.
