Northampton General Hospital Prepares For Major Inspection
In October NGH was on a list where patients could be most at risk of poor care. It will now be inspected by the Care Quality Commission & the CEO says improvements are ongoing.
In October Northampton General Hospital was named on a list of places where patients could be most at risk of poor care.
The hospital will be inspected by the Care Quality Commission next week - and speaking ahead of the inspection, the hospital’s Chief Executive Dr Sonia Swart said many improvements were being made.
Reporter Tom Percival sets the scene at the hospital, including the views of Dr Swart, while Stuart talks to Rosie Newbiggins from Healthwatch Northamptonshire and to Dr Mike Smith, the Chair of the Patients Association.
