Actor Robert Carlyle starts his musical journey, choosing some of his favourite songs in Tracks of My Years.

First coming to widespread attention with a memorable role in Cracker on ITV, Robert also lit up the small screen as the Highland policeman Hamish Macbeth, before two film roles in the mid-90s propelled him to superstardom.

Firstly, the part of Francis Begbie in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting brought widespread acclaim, and playing Gaz in The Full Monty helped land the film a Best Film Bafta.

Other notable film credits include The Beach, 28 Weeks Later and The World Is Not Enough, and he's continued to delight small screen fans with parts in Once Upon a Time, Stargate Universe and War of the Worlds.

Robert's latest TV project sees him return as Prime Minister Robert Sutherland in Cobra: Rebellion for Sky, where he stars alongside the likes of Victoria Hamilton, Jane Horrocks, David Haig and Marsha Thomason.
