Young Albie Myburgh is the apple of his parents' eyes. He has a rare genetic disorder, fragile X syndrome, that causes developmental problems that mum Jayne believed would lessen in the warmth of the sun. To give him the best possible chance, Jayne was determined to take Albie to Australia – a place where she had yearned to live for a long time.

No stranger to hot climates himself, Albie's father, South African-born Eugene, was well aware of his wife’s dreams but needed more than a promise of sunshine to convince him he should move to the other side of the world. He was fearful the family would be throwing away the wonderful network of love and support currently provided by friends and family in the UK.

A week in the Brisbane sunshine let the Myburghs see if the benefits of the Australian lifestyle could make up for the emotional upheaval of leaving family behind. We find out whether they made the life-changing decision to relocate to Australia.
