Struggling to balance work and family life, Laura Evans wanted to move her family to Australia. Three years on from their trial week, which way did the scales tip?

In 2016 Laura Evans was struggling to balance work and a busy family life. Having reached the point where she felt totally burned out, she had begun to believe her family鈥檚 future could be brighter in Australia. But positives and negatives in a trial week down under made husband Andrew hesitate and it put any thought of a move into doubt. Three years on, Nicki finds out whether the family overcame those obstacles and if Laura got her dream move.

Evans Family Update

The Evans family are happy to say that 鈥榟ome鈥� is now Perth, Australia!聽

Even though they love and miss our family & friends, they have fallen in love with Australia. They love the beautiful outdoor life that it's given their boys! And they love Australia even more now they have their own Little Aussie: River! She was born in December 2019, completing the family and sealing their roots in Australia.

The Evans have made lots of home improvements, including a beautiful dog called Lady! Andrew has a wonderful new job in the University. He's finally found the work life balance that was missing during their first year.聽

Laura鈥檚 home business has gone from strength to strength. She loves working from home and working around the boys! Brodie has become a trackstar, competing in little athletics every Friday evening. He's started school full time in pre-primary, making lots of new friends. Parker enjoys all things outdoors and always has a smile on his face!

The family have lots of wonderful adventures planned this year. They're excited to welcome Andrew's family for visits in April & December, and Laura鈥檚 mum and dad in May!

The Evans are all settled and living the Australian dream. Seeing how happy their boys are is what makes it all worth while!
