When McCabe threatens Amber, Lenny realises he must take extreme action to protect his daughter. What will Jimmy sacrifice to keep his own family safe?
Amber is nervous about McCabe being out of jail, her fears increase when she discovers that Hola has been broken into and trashed - a clear warning form McCabe. Lenny convinces Amber that they could go away together until the dust settles but elsewhere McCabe grabs Fraser and asks him to find out what Lenny is up to. Fraser is nervous and Lenny soon realises what he's up to and tells Fraser to give McCabe a message, he'll meet him and give him 100,000 pounds to leave Amber and himself alone. However it soon becomes clear that Lenny is desperate to get Amber out of Sheildinch because he's planning a final showdown with McCabe and has bought a gun. But with his MS starting to act up again Lenny grabs Michael for a consultation. Unfortunately Amber walks in during the meeting and realises something is wrong, after questioning Michael Amber confronts Lenny and he cracks - telling her about his MS. Alone, however, he loads his gun in preparation. When Lenny tells Amber he's not coming on holiday with her straight away Amber decides she's not going either, which leaves Lenny no alternative but to turn on her. She leaves crying but Lenny is happy that she will still be leaving and will be safe. Lenny throws Gabriel out of the arcade sits waiting for McCabe. Gabriel heads to the Tall Ship where he finds Amber waiting for her taxi to the airport. When he mentions Lenny she realises that her dad was pushing her away to protect her and heads off to the arcade. Fraser overhears and gives chase, anxious to keep Amber away from the Murdoch/McCabe showdown. In the arcade Lenny is just about to shoot McCabe when a henchman comes in with Amber and Fraser. At that moment Lenny's hand fails him and he drops the gun. There's a struggle and a shot is fired - but who pulled the trigger, and who is dead?!
Meanwhile Jimmy is left with a huge decision to make when DI Donald arrives and offers him witness protection in return for giving evidence to put McCabe away properly. Scarlett is left reeling when Jimmy tells her what's happening, and Jimmy asks her to come with him, giving her the day to think about it. Scarlett talks to Gina and explains that she's not sure what to do, whilst Jimmy receives a call from DI Donald, McCabe's old henchman Ross has been found dead - they need to get him into witness protection as soon as possible. When he realises that Lenny has bought a gun to protect Amber Jimmy realises he needs to leave Sheildinch to protect his family, whether they come with him or not. Later Scarlett purposefully leaves Jimmy with Madonna making a collage of memories hoping he'll change his mind about going. However, whilst taking Madonna outside for ice cream McCabe pulls up. Jimmy knows what's coming and begs McCabe not to kill him in front of Madonna. He tells his daughter to go over to Conor and gets in McCabe's car where he is driven to the pathway. McCabe stabs Jimmy and leaves him to die.
Elsewhere in Sheildinch Zinnie is shocked to find the Brodies are going through with their threat - they want her out of the house by the end of the day. When Gina mentions that Robbie and Deek have a spare room she forms a plan. She manipulates the boys and spins them a sob story until they offer her the spare room for no rent. However when Robbie starts to realise what she's done Zinnie is left with a rude awakening - they'll be splitting everything three ways from now on, thank you very much!
