Inspire is part of the Science Projects Federation, an educational charity dedicated to the exploration of science through hands-on techniques.

The hands-on science centre was set up in the late 1980s and as Norfolk has many links with science (as you can see from this A-Z), it is the perfect place for it.

Inspire is housed in St Michael鈥檚 Coslany - one of Norwich鈥檚 finest medieval churches.

Science shows

As well as providing over 40 hands-on exhibits, Inspire has links with schools and local research institutes and runs travelling science shows too.

Over the last 10 years the Science Projects name has become well known throughout the world for its travelling science centre - The Discovery Dome.

The many experiments you can catch at Inspire include the Bermuda Triangle - when you fill water with bubbles, surprising things happen - and Inside Story where you identify the different organs and place them into the correct places on the model.

The science shop has lots of pocket-money priced toys, games and experiment packs which encourage children to continue learning about science long after they have visited the centre.
