The Government wants to make Britain a healthier place and tackle health inequalities in England.

Experts at the Department of Health say one in five children don't eat any fruit and they believe that by teaching them about healthy eating, the diets of whole families can change.

The 5-A-Day Norfolk campaign which has government funding, aims to increase healthy living by encouraging kids to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day with their project called Grab5!

The reason why fruit and vegetables are so good for you is because of they have lots of vitamins and minerals.

Fruit and vegetables also contain many complex plant components called phytochemicals.

Some of the vitamins and phytochemicals are also antioxidants, which help to prevent cancer in the body.

The Norfolk 5-A-Day team visit schools and teach children about the benefits of eating fresh fruit and vegetables as well as giving support to teachers in setting up healthy living projects.

So far, pupils at Fairhaven VA Primary School in South Walsham have started selling fruit smoothies and fresh fruit snacks in their tuckshop after the Norfolk 5-A-Day team came to visit them.

In Norwich, children at Tuckswood First School are learning how to run a playground market and food co-op, selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
