In the past few months she's visited and written about her surf trips to the World Junior Surfing Games, Hawaii, Portugal and even snowboarding. Now the Cornish teenager is in Australia. Day 1After a real long journey which in total took us 34 hours, we eventually arrived in Australia in the morning of Friday 26 June 2009. Although our jet-lag was pretty hardcore we were all super keen to get in the waterÌý before the weekend when it would be super packed with a million frothing school kids in. We had a quiet and super fun surf at BrokenHead which is a punchy beachie about 10 minutes from the house. Tassy Swallow from St Ives Bangers and mash cooked by Polly Dugmore was the perfect end to a tiring day! Day 2Our first night's sleep in the Surf Solutions' Australia Crib was setting us up perfect for a '3 surfs' day and an evening of exercise ball work and stretching. So today we surfed 3 new breaks: Lennox Head Beachie- the site of the Rusty Gromfest Competition in which we will all be surfing in next weekend; Tallows- the other end of the beach from BrokenHead, a wedgy punchy wave; Suffolk Park-Ìý Garret Parke's local break and half way down the beach from Tallows. A fun, mellow wave. After the '3 surf' we did a stretch out on the exercise balls and yoga mats ready for tomorrow. Day 3Today is day 3 in the Surf Solutions Australia house. With a slight lack of swell making it quite difficult to get our usual all day surf drills, we got in early to rack up one surf before going back to the house to put our shorts and trainers on to test our Physical fitness on a 45 minute run to the lighthouse and back home again. Gnarly. After a pretty hardcore run we drove to Tallows to get another surf in before dark.Ìý Video Analysis went down back at the house followed by an awesome Chicken Roast dinner whilst discussing our plans for tomorrow and what we each wanted to achieve in the drills.ÌýThere is a new Swell arriving tomorrow which will mean bigger waves.
