Tess takes a ferry to visit the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. It goes from Uig to the main village on the island, Tarbert. Whilst on board, she asks the captain what Harris is like.

The title of this clip could be used as a starting point for a geographical challenge. Students could be given a starting position of their home or school and told that they must travel to the Outer Hebrides.

Students could work in travelling groups to decide when they should travel by checking weather reports and how they could travel based on researching ferry times and other modes of transport. They could try to find the cheapest price and also the most direct route for their travelling party.
