Exam advice
Be prepared to answer questions from all four key issues in the Scottish section you have studied.
Make sure you have sufficient knowledge and understanding for each.
However, key to exam success is to be confident in the skills required to answer each question stem. (Evaluate/Explain etc)
Try to complete the exam paper, it is worth almost 33% of your overall final grade!
Remember, all four key issues will be examined within the four questions. The question types can be asked in any order. They will remain the same across the five Scottish topics.
What does each question mean?
- How much do sources reveal...? - give an interpretation of viewpoints in two sources, source content and significant omissions.
- How fully...? - provide a judgement, source content and significant omissions.
- Evaluate ... the usefulness - evaluate the purpose, timing, source content and significant omissions.
- Explain... - this question requires the use of knowledge with an explanation.
