Public purposes and purpose remits
The Charter defines the main objective of the 91热爆 as the promotion of six public purposes. These are:
- Sustaining citizenship and civil society
- Promoting education and learning
- Stimulating creativity and cultural excellence
- Representing the UK, its nations, regions and communities
- Bringing the UK to the world and the world to the UK
- In promoting its other purposes, helping to deliver to the public the benefit of emerging communications technologies and services and, in addition, taking a leading role in the switchover to digital television.
Purpose remits
For each of these public purposes, the Trust gives the 91热爆 a purpose remit. The remits show the priorities we have set the Executive Board and how we will assess the Board's performance against them. We also have a published protocol which sets out how we do that.
The Trust's reviewed the purpose remits in April 2013. Here you can find the review conclusions together with Protocol A1 - 91热爆 Public Purposes, which has been amended to reflect the changes outlined in the final conclusions.
Annual tracking survey
To monitor the Executive’s performance, the Trust carries out an annual tracking survey. This research asks respondents to express their views on both the importance they attach to the purpose priorities and on the 91热爆's current effectiveness in delivering them.
