Critic Michael Billington speaks to Jonathan Miller about some of the staging difficulties for a production of 'Hamlet'. Miller uses Freudian analysis to get to the heart of the characters and explains his views on the theme of corruption - both of the person and of the 'rotten' state of Denmark - that runs through the play.
Polymath Jonathan Miller rose to prominence with the widely acclaimed revue 'Beyond the Fringe', which also starred Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Alan Bennett.
