1965: Jacqueline Kennedy visits England
Former US First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy finishes her two-week visit to England.
She had attended a memorial dedication to her late husband, US President John F Kennedy, with her children, Caroline and John Jr. The memorial was placed at Runnymede, where the Magna Carta had been signed in 1215.
As she left, Mrs Kennedy stated, "Thank you all for having been so kind to us while we're here... I'd like my children to form the same attachments of friendship and education in this country that their father had."
