Summer holidays
This is a two-session unit anticipating the summer holidays. The first session explores several modes of travel to the seaside and countryside and the activities that we might do when we get there. The children 鈥榙rive鈥, 鈥榝ly鈥 and 鈥榮ail鈥 to their destination and work with a partner to build sandcastles, dodge the waves, play on the beach and walk in the countryside. The second session uses familiar beach activities as a movement focus - eg working with a partner to build a sandcastle; creeping to the water and running away again; imagining a floating beach ball and passing it through the air to each other; etc.
