The Elves and the Shoemaker
This is a two-session unit based on the famous fairy story of a poor, hard-working shoemaker and how two elves come to his assistance. The first session focuses on the old shoemaker - his quiet, solitary life and slow, sombre movements. Then, in the second session, the focus is on working in pairs as the elves to create a new pair of shoes for the shoemaker - showing how the elves work together to manipulate the shoemaker鈥檚 tools. At the end the shoemaker discovers what has been happening鈥nd sets about rewarding the elves!
