Folk dance from around the world

In these four dance sessions children will have the chance to learn four new dances from different countries: Senegal and The Gambia, in West Africa; Greece; Ireland; and Northern India.

The dances are not always as they would be seen in their country of origin - they have been devised by dance experts in each field to suit the age-range for Let's Move. They use traditional movement and structure, which has been simplified to make it accessible to your children.

Some of the dances are individual, some are in groups, and the dance from Greece can be performed in groups or with the whole class.
