How does this project differ from what you usually work on?

Many of the prototypes I produce are conceptual aimed at influencing commissioning thinking. Going straight in front of a real audience and inviting them to upload their own scrubs is new for me (and rather daunting).

How did this idea come about?

We already had the scrubbable format on on iWonder and we thought it would be interesting to see how creative other people could be with the format. I approached Outlandish Ideas who had worked with us on the original and they developed this prototype. We then worked with Apadmi and with Martin Rue to finalise it. It was quite an ongoing challenge over many months as each new update to iOS and android left us needing to redo elements of the prototype……many hands….

What are you hoping to find out from this being on Taster?

We’re very interested to find out what people’s reactions are to this new format, and to see how they want to use it. I’d like to be surprised by the inventiveness of the scrubs produced and to feed this into our development.

What happens next?

If this goes down well then we’ll find the right way to release it on a wider scale.
