That brings me nicely on to my cha cha. It has potential. In fact reflecting on last night's lesson, I am pleased with it to the extent that I think it would be a travesty should the audience not get to see it (so please keep me in).

I believe the waltz needs to be up to speed on the night before we can even think cha cha. But if myself and Tina do progress past round one, then who knows?

At this stage we have three of our routines in the can. The jive still needs lots of work.

A week though is a long time in both politics and dancing and we have the right people on board with which to move forward and make this a winning combination.

I sound like Barack Obama. He made history this week. Now it's my turn.

Eyeing up the competition

It won't be easy though. I try not to watch my fellow colleagues (aka competitors) here at 91热爆 Radio Suffolk when they take to the practice floor. It is for fear of seeing them doing something good that might make me worry a bit.

Anderson and hubby Mike are regularly quick-stepping up and down the place like something out of a Broadway show, and messieurs Murphy and Lungley appear to have the posture and grace that I at times am lacking.

Deal prefers to operate in secret. I sense he has something up his sleeve. It could be an ace...it could be a Kleenex.

Rest assured, whether we are all up to scratch or not, the audience at Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion next Wednesday night will be in for a treat.

The regulars at the Ipswich School of Dancing have been polishing off their own routine, and it looks good. More than good.

This has been quite an experience. One I have thoroughly enjoyed. And rumours of next Wednesday being both the beginning and end of my dancing career could be ill founded. I have caught the bug.

The offers will surely come flooding in. The circus will always need more clowns.
