Manchester United have reached the quarter-final stages of a major European competition for the 27th time, progressing from 17 of the previous 26. They are winless in the first leg of each of their last three two-legged quarter final matches in Europe (D2 L1).

This is Arsenal's 16th quarter-final tie in major European competition, progressing from nine of the previous 15.

The only previous matches between Arsenal and Slavia Prague were in the group stages of the 2007-08 Champions League - Arsenal won 7-0 at home before drawing 0-0 away.

Arsenal are unbeaten against Czech opposition (W7 D1), keeping seven clean sheets in eight matches.

Dinamo Zagreb stunned Spurs in the last round to reach the last eight.

This is only the fourth game of Damir Krznar's managerial career.
