Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BT Sport: "We started the game really well, really dominant and creating a lot of chances.

"We gave them a goal trying to play out from the back but then we reacted well to score two more goals. Overall a really positive result but we have to stop making the errors that are costing goals because we cannot sustain that.

"It isn't about concentration it is about when you play the ball. It is not about stopping the way we play because this is us.

"We were really solid, really dominant. We showed a lot of personality to come here and dominate like we did. The next thing is to do that for 90 minutes and give nothing to the opponent.

"This is half time and anything can happen. Full focus and we start 0-0 again in the second leg and try to win the game.

On Thomas Partey's withdrawal: "It was a tactical decision."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to BT Sport: "I believe one more goal would be a good reflection of the game and would put us in a much better position. But before the game if you asked if 2-0 was a good result I would say. It is only a good result if we do the job there. It will be a difficult match. At home they will feel more comfortable to have a go with nothing to lose.

On Harry Kane and any potential injury: "Harry I don't believe is anything big. Sunday is a match everyone wants to play and little things will not stop him. I don't have the feeling it is anything serious.

"He is doing everything. He is doing the striker job of scoring goals. the team work of creating space and linking play and the extra work not many strikers do in defence. He helps us a lot. He has an incredible number of clearances from crosses and corners. We couldn't be happier. I gave a rest to many of the players and am so happy with what Vinicius is giving us. But with Harry on the pitch it is a different story for us."

Good news for Spurs. They have progressed from each of their previous three knockout ties in the UEFA Europa League when they’ve won the first leg - versus Lyon and Inter Milan in 2012-13, and RZ Pellets WAC earlier this season.

Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard, speaking to BT Sport: "It is a big win for us, a great result with three goals away from home and win in this competition is always good.

"The mentality in this team is great. Very pleased with everything. We showed the spirit in the team and the way we back each other. If one player makes a mistake then we react. That is what it is about, being a team. When one player makes a mistake you have to strike back as a team.

"I wanted to get a shot on goal, luckily I had a good hit and it went in. I have felt at home since the first day, I am happy to be here and feel great.

"It is just half time. We have to keep going. We have a big game on Saturday and then have to be ready for next Thursday. It is very important, we are not where we want to be in the league so this is very important for us and a chance to get Champions League football next year."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, speaking to BT Sport: "Clean sheet is a satisfaction. It is good for us. 2-0 is a good result. We could have scored one more but we are happy. We know how it will be there. It is not done, just half-time.

"He is just enjoying his football. As we can see he attracts the ball. Lamela made an amazing job for the first goal and Harry was there at the right time to score. His second gives some relief to the team before the second leg.

"We had some ups and downs in the season but we come into an important period now and it is good to feel the players are ready to help the team. If we work well as a team we will give our talent more power to make the difference."

Paddy Sidwell: Spurs should be able to compete on both fronts if we want to be up there with the big boys. I think that Mourinho could really show his experience with how he manages the squad. For example, he's lined up tonight like he wants to get the job done in the first leg

Arsenal have won eight of their nine Europa League games this season (D1), and are the highest scorers in the competition so far this term (27 goals).

Meanwhile, all four of Mohamed Elneny’s goals for Arsenal have come in European competition (one x Champions League, three x Europa League), with three of those coming from outside the box.

Job done for Arsenal. Dodgy defending threatened to scupper them but two late goals gives them a healthy advantage ahead of the second leg.

The last act of the game is Bale nudging an effort wide of the far post from Bergwijn's deep cross, followed soon after by a low saved shot from Vinicius.

Job almost done for Spurs. They will take a solid lead to Zagreb.

After four largely uneventful added minutes, we're pretty much done here. A fine night's work for Spurs.

Arijan Ademi's evening is done a few minutes early because of an ankle injury. He is helped from the pitch. Her is a big player for the Croatian side. If that is a bad injury it is a big blow.

Bartol Franjic replaces him.

Three away goals for Arsenal. It was looking a little precarious after Olympiakos equalised but now the Gunners firmly have one foot in the quarter-finals.

Alexandre Lacazette is on for the final few minutes, replacing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Hojbjerg won't be playing in the return leg. He hauls a man back who was trying to break and gets a booking that will lead to a suspension.
