• Chelsea are unbeaten in their last eight Champions League group stage games (W5 D3), last going longer without such a defeat in the competition in November 2010 (13 games – W10 D3).
• In all competitions, Chelsea have kept five consecutive clean sheets for the first time since October 2010, whilst they last started a Champions League campaign with three-straight clean sheets in 2009-10.
• Chelsea’s Timo Werner has been directly involved in 13 goals (10 goals, three assists) in his last 14 Champions League appearances, with each of his last five such goals coming from the penalty spot.
• Werner was the first German to score two penalties in a single European Cup/Champions League match since Lothar Matthaus for Bayern Munich v Real Madrid in April 1987.
• Tammy Abraham is the first player to score in three consecutive Champions League starts for Chelsea since Willian in 2015, and the first Englishman to do so since Frank Lampard in 2008.
• Chelsea’s 3-0 victory is the biggest home win by a side under an English manager in the Champions League since Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham beat Werder Bremen (3-0) in November 2010.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel: "No, I don't feel in danger. We played a team that was leading the Bundesliga a week ago, which is very strong, which plays a good game, and we could have led 2-0.

"It was more difficult in the second half, we lack players, quality, pace. It's still in our hands.

"It's the life of a coach in Paris, I have the impression that the press, the environment is very critical, but that does not change my work with the team, nor with my staff.

"It's the life of a trainer in Paris, it's never enough, I don't have any problem.

"We will try again and if we win at the Parc des Princes the situation will be totally reversed."

There were 62 goals scored in 16 Champions League games over the last two days - a new record.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, speaking to BT Sport: "I think we deserved that. The red card and penalty to 2-0 makes it easier. We kept the ball moving early in the second half, there were professional elements to our performance today. They were tough opposition and we won pretty well.

"It was not an easy decision (on penalty taker) because Jorginho has been pretty faultless. He had missed two recently and Timo came in and scored. I had a word with Jorghino and his answer was perfect, he said he didn't mind who came in to take them he just wanted to score. Timo came in and scored so I am happy.

"I am pleased I got some players to rest and pleased for some to get minutes. It ticked a lot of boxes for us."

Chelsea striker Timo Werner, speaking to BT Sport: "We had a very good game today. The two penalties right. We got with 2-0 at half time, very good. The red card. Also good for me is we had one more player in the pitch and could control it from behind.

"Before the game the manager said when there is a penalty I should take it. Two today is crazy, not all days. I take it and good goals for a striker but hopefully I can go on like this.

"I am happy, I am happy Jorginho is cool with it. It is another point that speaks for our team, we are not selfish. We all go in one direction which is good.

"Now we want to win the group."

The win means Chelsea are top of Group E with seven points and level with Sevilla, who fought back to snatch all three points in their game.

Elsewhere, Erling Haaland's brace helps Borussia Dortmund to a 3-0 win at Clube Brugge while Barcelona neat Dynamo Kyiv 2-1.

Ferencváros got a late consolation as Juventus won 4-1 while Sevilla came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Krasnodar.

PSG are in strife. Three points from three games as RB Leipzig move level on points with Manchester United.
